Takafumi Tan got his Bachelor of Arts and Science degree (Major in Music, minor in Mathematics) from the University of Lethbridge. He has more than 20 years of violin and piano training with performance from The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and received the Provincial medals for Level 4 (2003) and Level 6 (2005) in violin RCM examination. He has played in symphonies in both Japan and Lethbridge Canada. He has also taught violin and piano in various music schools and privately in Lethbridge and Calgary. Takafumi has been offering lessons in Calgary at L&M since 2023. His rate is $33 per half hour.

This dynamic class covers everything from soloing over blues and rock standards to performance techniques, playing with other musicians, maximizing your gear, setting up a pedalboard, and more.

Ongoing registration - $20 per class (one-month commitment) or $30 per drop-in.

Payment for each month's lessons is due in the first week of the month. Lesson rates vary with the location, instrument and the teachers' education and experience. Though some are lower or higher, on average they are between $25 and $31 per half hour private lesson. Automatic withdrawals on the 5th of each month make payments easy.
